Wailua Falls looks its most powerful after periods of rain, when the flow is fuller and mist adds atmosphere. Winter and spring often bring more frequent showers and vivid greens, but clouds can be more persistent. Summer tends to offer clearer skies and crisper visibility, though the falls may run a bit lighter. For the best chance at balanced light on the cliff and water, aim for mornings or bright overcast conditions.
